| Dear Patients, From all of us at Schreiber Allergy, we hope that you are managing in what is an incredibly challenging and disruptive time. We do not know if you would recognize the office – it is quiet, there are no books or toys. And while some of our staff are working from home to help social distancing, some of the friendly and knowledgeable faces you know are still here. The biggest change in our office is that in the span of 3 days, we have moved almost completely to a telehealth model to see our patients. We are glad that for those who have utilized this service, responses and reactions have been overwhelmingly positive. A few things to note:Instead of seeing patients in person, we are video conferencing with a HIPAA compliant system.We are able to see both new and follow up patients and are submitting to insurance.But it is ONLY for patients located in Maryland. For those of you out of state, please know we are still here for you –contact our office so we can make other arrangements to help you. |
| For Our Shot Patients: Please be very strict about your own social distancing. If you are not social distancing, for the safety and health of our staff and other patients, please do not come to the office. We are strictly enforcing the shot scheduling.Based on guidelines from the CDC and our professional organizations, all patients on build-up should come every 2 weeks and those on maintenance every 4-6 weeks. At this point we are trying to keep our shot hours open, but as you know, this is a rapidly evolving situation and our policies may change. If and when anything changes we will be in touch. |
| For Our OIT Patients: We are doing our best to keep our office open for updosing.If you are not comfortable coming in, please notify our staff and we will prepare doses for you. |
| Please know we cannot do COVID-19 testing. We do not have the test kits, nor do we have personal protective equipment to safely evaluate you. If you have fever, or if you are concerned you have COVID-19, please contact your primary care doctor or call us. Even with everything else going on, as you know, allergy season is here.
