Dear Patients,
We have spent much of this weekend on conference calls at the state and national level to learn as much as possible about the COVID-19 virus. One of the key lessons is social distancing, to slow the spread of the virus as much as possible.
To that end, for the health and safety of our staff and patients, we are instituting several new practices and policies in the office:
- If you have a fever CANCEL your appointment and contact your primary care doctor.
- If you have a cough please call our office to let us know so we can prepare for your visit. (It is spring allergy season so you may have a cough!)
- Please come accompanied with as few other people as possible.
- Adults, please come alone, or if needed come with one other adult.
- Children should be accompanied by one guardian only.
- We are aggressively cleaning, and all magazines and toys have been removed from the office.
- We will be checking temperatures for all patients.
- We are also working on telehealth (virtual) visits.

Shot Patients:
If you are building up, we request you come once every two weeks instead of once per week. If you are on maintenance please come once per month.
Moving forward, we will be scheduling all shot visits – shots will no longer be walk-in. We are introducing an online scheduling system for shot visits only, so we can manage the number of patients in the office at any one time.
Click on this link or follow the instructions below to schedule.
- Go to schedulicity.com. (The first time you go to Schedulicity you will be asked to sign up.)
- Search “Schreiber Allergy” and enter “Rockville” in the location. Our site will pop up.
- Click “schedule now.”
- Click “any available provider.”
- Click “Choose date and time.”
- Click on the calendar day and choose your time slot.
- You may opt in to receive a text reminder if you would like.
Within each time slot there are two shot appointment times available. The waiting time is the same (30 minutes) and our shot hours are the same. While we are all getting acclimated to this new procedure, we ask that you only book two weeks at a time, to give everyone a chance to schedule.

OIT Patients:
At this time, we plan to proceed as scheduled. If you or your child are in the build up phase and would prefer to maintain at your current dose for now, please call our office so we can prepare doses for you to pick up.

We know these are a lot of changes in a little time. This is a rapidly evolving situation and your care remains our primary concern. We appreciate your understanding, cooperation, and kindness, as we work to keep everyone as safe and healthy as possible.
If you have any questions or concerns, please ask us. It is spring allergy season and we are here for you!
